About

A public health mind, applied to everyday general practice.

My passion for healthcare comes from my background in population health, and a fundamental wish to reduce health inequities in the population.

Training & background

From outbreaks and epidemics to the consulting room

I completed my medical training at the University of Adelaide and Flinders University, before undertaking hospital training at Flinders Medical Centre.

Before becoming a GP, I worked in communicable disease surveillance and public health — leading surveillance systems and supporting responses to infectious disease outbreaks. That work sharpened my interest in prevention, evidence-based medicine, and improving long-term health outcomes.

Today I bring that same perspective to general practice: looking upstream, managing risk early, and helping people stay well over the long term.
